Skylar is sanding the tooling lines out of these MDF doors. He cut 3x4 10mm ProFoam to drop down into the recessed panels. It’s important to note that 10mm pads should be used in these situation to keep the sander off of the center panel. He is using a Very Fine abrasives which equates to a 280-320 grit scratch.

The video is for 5" & 6" pneumatic & electric sanders. If you use your sander all the time, it may be time to replace the bearings. When you begin sanding, does the tool 'stutter? No orbital action and air is just blowing through the tool? It may be time for a spindle bearing repair/changeout. The bearings can be locked up or frozen.

The SurfPrep Vacuum Hose Quick Connect set will make it easy to attach and detach your 1″ threaded vacuum hose to your SurfPrep sander. 2 pieces are included to make the quick connect: SPUHCMF (screws into the vacuum port adapter on the back of SurfPrep sander) SPCUFF-25MM (screws into any 1″ SurfPrep threaded vacuum hose & ‘quick connects’ to the SPUHCMF.

This vacuum adapter will slide over the end attachment of most vacuum systems that come with a 1.25″ to 1 3/8″ hose. It is NOT threaded. The black adapter piece should slide over and create a tight seal with the vacuum hole. We recommend purchasing SurfPrep’s Vacuum Hose to screw into this vacuum adapter.
